Description
Like the soapbar pickups found in some of the world's finest handcrafted basses, the NYC 4 use the same dual coil J-type pickup design with a double row of exposed Alnico pole pieces. The four conductor cable allows for three wiring modes for a wide variety of tonal options. Wire the pickup in parallel mode for a noise-free single coil sound with added body and weight; a balanced response that speaks with authority. Wire it in series mode for high output with maximum punch and fullness. Or, wire it in single coil mode for true vintage Jazz Bass® sound. The Alnico 2 rod pole pieces provide a punchy and focused tone with a natural and smooth upper midrange. Compared to an active soapbar, the tone is warmer and more organic.

Available individually or in a calibrated neck and bridge set. For even more control, match the NYC Bass with an Tone Circuit like the Basslines STC-3P. You'll get three bands of bass-focused active EQ and a proprietary Slap Switch.

Seymour Duncan / Basslines offers our 21 Day Real World Exchange Policy on all new pickups purchased in the U.S. and some other participating countries, which states the following: If for any reason you're not satisfied with the pickup's sound or construction, return it and your receipt to your dealer, or direct to the factory within 21 days for exchange with another pickups of equal or lesser value. To do this, please just send us an email and include your invoice number and the new pickup you'd like to exchange towards.
